Flight time, distance & jet lag. No fluff.
Pick two cities. Get the honest numbers: flight duration, great-circle distance, time-zone shift, jet-lag estimate, CO₂ footprint vs train and car. No popups, no email asks.

How the numbers are calculated
Distance: great-circle (haversine) between airport coordinates. This is the shortest path over the Earth's surface, not the actual flight path (which can be 5-10% longer due to airspace + winds).
Flight time: tiered estimate by distance range — accounts for taxi, climb, cruise, and descent. Calibrated to match typical scheduled times within ±10% across 500-15,000 km.
CO₂: DEFRA 2024 economy-class averages. Real emissions depend on aircraft type and load factor; this is a directional estimate.
Jet lag: rough rule of ~1 day recovery per time zone, with eastward flights weighted 30% heavier (well-supported in chronobiology literature).
